Library databases

It has been an eye opening experience for me to learn about and use the CSU Library databases. Not having studied for quite some time I have never used a Library database. The online tutorials were excellent viewing and extremely helpful. Learning how to apply boolean operators to maximise search results and refine searches was so useful. I had never used truncation before and found that very exciting (sad aren’t I?).

I set up folders in both Primo and Ebsco Host as they are essential. What a time and space saving facility! The fact that we can also access a pdf instantly to save and print or an e-book to read straight away is so far removed from my first uni experience that it feels like we were in the dark ages back then! It was twenty years ago but that’s not that far back!!

My issue now is not motivation but time! Time to spend searching and exploring. Time to read. Time to watch more tutorials and learn more. Time to sleep?
